ESPN Recommends 'Bold Move' for Rams in NFL Draft

ESPN recommends a "bold" move for the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL Draft - and its simpler than you might think.

ESPN Analyst Aaron Schatz suggests a "bold" move for the Los Angeles Rams in the 2024 draft - using their first-round pick.

That's it. That's the bold move. The Rams have not actually used a first-round pick since Jared Goff in 2016.

Schatz says, "This would be a great place to add to an offensive line that might lose two starters in free agency, perhaps by drafting a tackle prospect who could play inside at first and then move outside after a couple of years. Possibilities include Alabama's JC Latham, Oregon State's Taliese Fuaga and Oklahoma's Tyler Guyton."

Despite holding the 19th pick, the Rams might opt to trade down into the early second round or exchange the pick for a proven player if the opportunity arises.

General Manager Snead indicated uncertainty about making their first first-round pick since 2016, while Coach McVay joked about the excitement surrounding the prospect back in January calling the pick "a big if."

Rams BREAKING: Starting Center Cut

The Rams are well-equipped in the 2024 NFL Draft to bolster their offensive line if necessary, with ample picks at their disposal. Finally holding a Day 1 selection, they're poised to make significant additions, with four picks slated within the first 100.

The depth of available linemen is promising, suggesting even late Day 2 picks could contend for starting roles - particularly after the release of center Brian Allen.

Whatever the case, the Rams are on the brink of contention and will need to find contributors on both sides of the ball if they want to make Super Bowl contention in 2024.

And that all starts with the draft later this spring.
