Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes Toughest Foes? Aaron Donald Tops 3 Rams Names
In his illustrious six-year career, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has encountered numerous skilled defenders who have left a lasting impression on him. When recently questioned about the three most challenging players he has faced in the NFL, Mahomes intriguingly singled out three individuals who share connections with the Los Angeles Rams franchise.
“In my career, Aaron Donald, one," Mahomes said. "That’s out the gate. Jalen Ramsey, especially these last few years, has always been a dog. And Von Miller. I’m glad he’s not in my division anymore.”
Donald and the Rams are not slated to have a matchup against Mahomes and the Chiefs in the upcoming season. The only conceivable scenario for the two teams to meet would be if both of them emerge victorious from their respective conferences and ultimately collide in Super Bowl LVIII.
However, the Chiefs do have important games lined up against Ramsey and Miller. In Week 9, Mahomes and the Chiefs will face Ramsey and the Dolphins, creating matchup with potential playoff implications. Additionally, in Week 14, the Chiefs will go head-to-head with Miller and the Bills at Arrowhead Stadium, which is expected to be another crucial game in the AFC playoff picture.
Considering the high expectations surrounding all three teams, it is reasonable to anticipate their involvement in the race for a Super Bowl spot in the AFC this season. Therefore, it would not be surprising if we witness a rematch between the Bills and the Chiefs, or the Dolphins and the Chiefs, in the playoffs. … and more Mahomes high-profile challenges.
