Los Angeles Rams Blow Second Half Lead, Fall at Home to Pittsburgh Steelers

The Los Angeles Rams led Sunday's game at the end of the third quarter, but they could not hold on to secure the win.

The Los Angeles Rams dropped their fourth game of the season on Sunday, falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-17 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The Rams (3-4) carried a 9-3 lead into halftime after both offenses began the game sluggishly. The game was tied at three before a final drive from Los Angeles saw Matthew Stafford connect with Tutu Atwell through the air for an impressive score.

The second half saw Pittsburgh claim a 10-9 lead in the third quarter, but a one-yard rush from Darrell Henderson put the Rams back on top. A pass from Matthew Stafford to Cooper Kupp was good for the two-point conversion, giving L.A. a 17-10 lead.

From that point on, however, it was all Steelers in the scoring department as the Rams surrendered 14-unanswered points in the fourth quarter to seal the loss. Jaylen Warren of Pittsburgh accounted for a touchdown on a 13-yard carry, and Najee Harris added one of his own from three yards out.

Statistically for the Rams, quarterback Matthew Stafford went 14-for-29 through the air for 231 yards and a score. He also threw an interception in the loss, and the Rams were led in rushing by Royce Freeman with 66 yards. The lone rushing score of the day for Los Angeles came via the aforementioned Henderson carry.

The Rams will now look to regroup against a formidable test next week when they travel to Arlington to face the Dallas Cowboys. Kickoff is slated for 10 a.m. PT, and the game will be televised on FOX.
