Rams Ex Leonard Floyd Garnering 'Plenty of Interest'

After being released by the Los Angeles Rams, a recent report suggest Leonard Floyd will not have a problem finding a new team.

Outside linebacker/edge rusher hybrid Leonard Floyd was a cap casualty of the Los Angeles Rams as they look to "remodel" the roster following a disastrous 5-12 2022 season.

Since being released by the Rams last week, Floyd is already garnering interest from teams around the league, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler

One of the recently released players who should sign relatively quickly at a good clip is Leonard Floyd," Fowler said on Sunday of the Ex Ram. "Plenty of interest in the former Rams pass-rusher."

Floyd, the ex-Georgia Bulldog, has emerged as one of the NFL's top pass rushers, racking up at least nine sacks in his three seasons in Los Angeles.

Floyd signed with the Rams after being released from the Bears in 2020. He accumulated 29 sacks and 59 quarterback hits, proving to be an effective pass-rusher, which has gotten him attention from teams around the league.

With plenty of teams needing help at edge rushers, Floyd seems to have several potential suitors this offseason.

The NFL's legal tampering period opens on Monday, March 13th at 9 a.m., with free agency officially starting on March 15th, just two days later.
