Fantasy Football Preview: Rams' Cooper Kupp Worthy of No. 1 Pick?
The Los Angeles Rams have many question marks ahead of this season, mostly because of the lack of star power left from the Super Bowl roster.
Though one thing is sure: the franchise still holds one of the best defensive players on the planet in Aaron Donald. And, maybe, the Rams can again boast the NFL's best offensive weapon.
At least that's not too far-fetched, according to CBS Sports' recent take on Cooper Kupp's fantasy football stock.
"After lapping the field in 2021, Kupp picked up right where he left off, averaging 24.8 FPPG over his first eight games in 2022," CBS writes. "If you could guarantee health for both he and Matthew Stafford, it would be hard to make a case against Kupp as the No. 1 WR in Fantasy, even the No. 1 overall pick."
Kupp is obviously valuable on a fantasy roster, but saying he could go No. 1 overall in your league is quite the compliment. The only questions are durability ... for both Kupp and Stafford.
"Stafford is 35, Kupp just turned 30 and both missed the second half of 2022 with injuries," CBS continues. "One of the benefits of drafting a WR in Round 1 is that they are less injury-prone than the running backs, but it's difficult to say that for sure about Kupp."
Fantasy football draft season is nearly upon us, and someone in your league, maybe even you, has a big decision to make: Kupp is worth taking with the top pick, but can he stay on the field?
If the answer is yes, he's primed for another trusty fantasy provider this fall.
