Rams' Jalen Ramsey Trade Return Revealed by Insider

The Los Angeles Rams appear likely to trade star cornerback Jalen Ramsey - and now, the potential compensation in return has been revealed.

The Los Angeles Rams are seemingly nearing the end of the Jalen Ramsey era.

After three and a half years together, it was recently reported that the Pro Bowl cornerback is "very likely" to be traded - but the questions of when and how much remain.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport shed light on the situation - and he brings good news for Rams general manager Les Snead.

“I know they’ve had some interest in Jalen Ramsey," Rapoport said. "We’ll see if he ends up getting traded. As far as what that price could look like, it might even be a first rounder. Certainly, something that the Los Angeles Rams at least would consider. Is going to play out probably prior to free agency.”

Should the Rams net (and use) a first-round pick, it'll be the first time since drafting quarterback Jared Goff at No. 1 overall in 2016.

Free agency is set to begin Mar. 15, giving Los Angeles a week and a half to find a suitor - like the Dallas Cowboys - and agree to terms.

When the Rams acquired Ramsey from the Jacksonville Jaguars, they gave up two first-round picks and a fourth - and received four Pro Bowl's and two All-Pro's in return ... along with a Super Bowl title.

While Ramsey's trade out of Los Angeles won't get the same compensation, it'll still be a solid haul - much like the value Ramsey provided across his time with the organization.
