Rams Relief: Kelly Stafford 'Infuriated' Over Cancer Reports
The reports that Kelly Stafford has cancer are untrue, she said in an Instagram post on Monday, adding how upset she is about the false reports.
The wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford posted a screenshot with a black screen with capital letters that read 'I DO NOT HAVE CANCER' Monday afternoon. Kelly Stafford said in her caption underneath the post that the reports "infuriated" her.
"There is a bunch circulating right now and want to reiterate that I DO NOT HAVE CANCER," Kelly Stafford said. "If journalists actually took time to check facts these days, they would know this. I’m infuriated. Most the time I wouldn’t care what people wrote because it didn’t matter. THIS MATTERS. This matters because it takes away from the people who are fighting this horrible disease.. fighting to live another day, fighting to be there with the ones they love, fighting 24/7."
Reports swirled after the things she said last week on her podcast "The Morning After with Kelly Stafford" were misinterpreted.
She said she had been feeling "very sick" but didn't "want to scare people."
The former Georgia Bulldogs cheerleader said she had tests done and doctors "found things" on her thyroid.
"We don’t think it’s anything, so it’s not a big deal but it scared the (bleep) out of me," Kelly Stafford said.
She described an "awful" pain in her back and stomach that made her think, "I might have (bleeping) cancer," but explicitly stated on the podcast that there's "no cancer or anything like that."
Kelly Stafford had a 12-hour surgery to remove a brain tumor as a result of an acoustic neuroma diagnosis back in 2019.
