Rams' Raheem Morris Remains 'One to Watch’ Amid Colts 'Unprecedented' Coaching Search
The Indianapolis Colts are doing the "unprecedented," as the team is set to go through a third round of interviews for the vacancy at head coach.
But despite the long decision process, Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris remains "one to watch," per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
“It seems like some of the candidates did really well," he said on The Rich Eisen Show. “Raheem Morris I’ve heard has done very well. I think that’s certainly one to watch,”
Morris is one of a whopping seven candidates for the job, as he's competing with guys like Colts interim coach Jeff Saturday, Rich Bisaccia, Shane Steichen and others.
Despite the Rams’ disappointing 2022 season, Morris is undoubtedly one of the league’s top assistants and was a major reason LA was able to minimize scoring production against some of the league’s top offenses in last year’s playoffs before winning it all to secure his second-career Super Bowl ring.
The Rams will sorely miss Morris should he land the job in Indy, but it was only a matter of time before he departed for his first head-coaching role since 2011.
