Los Angeles Rams vs. Washington Commanders Week 15: How to Watch, Betting Odds

The Los Angeles Rams travel to Washington for a matchup with the win-hungry Commanders.
In this story:

Coming off their bye week, the Commanders aren't mathematically eliminated from the postseason, but the odds are slim that Ron Rivera and Co. will enjoy a playoff run this year. The Rams have slightly better odds and are trying to position themselves for a late-season playoff push.

Washington has lost four in a row and six of its last seven while having little to get excited about this season. Quarterback Sam Howell has been sacked 58 times this season and Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald will hope to increase that number. Los Angeles' premier pass rusher has registered just a half sack in the past four contests, and Donald will be chomping at the proverbial bit to put Howell on the turf.

The Rams have won four of their last five after halting a three-game skid to get back on track for a playoff appearance. Los Angeles is 8th in the NFC, one spot behind the Packers for the final seed and tied with five other teams at 6-7.

Rams signal caller Matthew Stafford has been exemplary over the past three contests, with 10 touchdown passes to just one interception. Stafford will have a chance to increase those numbers against a Commanders secondary that's allowed 30 touchdowns and taken away just six interceptions.

The Commanders' ground game will look slightly different on Sunday as Antonio Gibson will get more carries. Brian Robinson Jr. was ruled out Friday with a hamstring injury. Gibson ran for four 100-yard games in his first three years, but this season he has yet to run for more than 35 yards in a game.

Former Rams DC Brandon Staley Fired By Chargers

This is Washington's second game against the Rams since they moved back to Los Angeles in 2016. The Commanders were victorious at the L.A. Coliseum back in 2017, 27-20.

Washington receiver Terry McLaurin can move into a tie for 10th all-time in franchise history by catching his 24th touchdown pass.
