Matthew Stafford Leads Los Angeles Rams to First-Half Lead Over Baltimore Ravens
The Los Angeles Rams have been on a roll in recent weeks, winning three games in a row heading into their Sunday matchup against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium.
After two quarters of play, it appears that the Rams could be on the right track again, leading the Ravens 20-17 heading into the locker room at halftime.
The Rams got things started early on, taking a 3-0 lead after going 67 yards in 13 plays and taking six minutes off of the clock.
The Ravens then answered with a touchdown a couple of drives later on a long pass to Isaiah Likely, putting Baltimore up 7-3.
Stafford responded himself on the Rams' next drive, however, throwing a touchdown to Cooper Kupp from six yards out.
That score was immediately followed by a familiar site from Rams fans, with Lamar Jackson hitting none other than former Ram Odell Beckham Jr. for a 46-yard touchdown pass, putting Baltimore back up 14-10.
However, Stafford was up next, connecting with Davis Allen for another seven-yard touchdown to reclaim the lead at 17-14.
The Rams were able to intercept Jackson on the next drive, turning that turnover into another field goal, and a 20-14 lead.
The Ravens were able to get some more points on the board to end the half, with Justin Tucker hitting a field goal to round out the second quarter.
Stafford finished the half by completing 11 of 19 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns, including three passes for 55 yards to rookie sensation, Puka Nacua.
Running back Kyren Williams has also been a big part of the offense, rushing 14 times for 71 yards.
The Rams will start the second half with the football, after kicking off to start the game.
