The Los Angeles Rams have found themselves squarely in the NFC's playoff conversation after Week 13 of the NFL season, and they've had to overcome a good deal of adversity to get to this point.

The Rams (6-6) were at one time 3-6 on the season, but after taking down the Cleveland Browns 36-19 on Sunday, they have returned to the .500 mark. Head coach Sean McVay described the amount of toughness he has seen from his team this year, especially over the last three weeks.

“I think it has really been on display throughout the course of the season, we maybe just haven't always gotten the results that we wanted," McVay said postgame on Sunday. "But I'm seeing a mentally and physically tough team. I'm seeing guys stay connected. I'm seeing guys create their own energy."

It was vital for Los Angeles to be able to create its own energy prior to this three-game winning streak. The Rams have dealt with a plethora of injuries this season at key positions, but the return of quarterback Matthew Stafford and running back Kyren Williams has sparked a revival with this offense.

"They create an energy that makes it so fun to be able to go to work and continue to push in the right direction," McVay said. "I'm seeing great leadership from a lot of our veterans, and now we've got to just keep it going. It's a long season. It's been a really good start coming off of the bye to be able to go three-for-three."

If the season ended today, the Rams would miss out on the postseason due to not holding the tiebreaker over the Green Bay Packers, but there is a lot of ball left to be played. The only thing Los Angeles can focus on right now is continuing to win.

Rams Earn Critical Win Over Cleveland Browns

"We're going to be just in the moment one day at a time," McVay said, "and if we continue to play this way, then you continue to have conversations where you're relevant to maybe earn an opportunity to play afterwards, but that's so far away from our thought process. I'm really just loving working with this group.”

The Rams are scheduled to face a stiff test on the road next week when they travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens. Kickoff is slated for 10 a.m. PT on Sunday, and the game will be televised on FOX.
