Should Rams Trade Receiver Tutu Atwell?
The Los Angeles Rams had one of the best passing attacks in the league this past season, and the team has expressed interest in adding another wide receiver.
If the team were to draft one in the upcoming NFL Draft or sign one in free agency, which starts on March 13, there might not be a consistent spot for 24-year-old receiver Tutu Atwell.
The young and speedy wideout finished with 483 receiving yards this past season, and was big for the team in the games at the start of the season when Cooper Kupp was still out with injury, But when the star receiver came back, Atwell's role in the offense reduced dramatically.
And with the re-signing of veteran Demarcus Robinson, the window for Atwell on the Rams might be closing. Robinson finished this past season with 112 receiving yards behind Atwell in total. However, he also started in 10 fewer games and was targeted significantly less.
Rams Meet With Star WR Prospect
Ideally, the Rams could find somewhere where Atwell could be an immediate starter and make an impact right away in order to maximize his value.
While Atwell caught a touchdown in the Rams' first-round loss to the Detroit Lions in the playoffs this season and has served the team well in his time, it might be time for the young receiver to find a new team where he can be a consistent starter and show why he was a second-round pick.
