Ravens Hint at Roster Moves Though Now 'Good Enough,’ Says Harbaugh

Coach Harbaugh is confident in the Baltimore Ravens roster as it currently stands. However, they are still looking for opportunities to improve.
In this story:

The Baltimore Ravens have their quarterback in Lamar Jackson. They also have weapons around that quarterback, such as tight end Mark Andrews, receivers Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr., and runningback J.K. Dobbins.

Defensively, the roster is also in a good spot, with Patrick Queen, Roquon Smith, Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters and Marcus Williams all among the NFL's best.

And coming off of a disappointing 10-7 season and an AFC Wild Card playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore is looking to take the next step.

However, while head coach John Harbaugh is confident in what he has on his current roster, he also believes there is plenty of room for upgrades - should the right opportunity come along at least.

"To me, the roster is good enough to go play – with no changes – and it’s never so good that it can’t be improved," Harbaugh said. "So, if there’s an opportunity, I’m sure that – because that’s how (general manager) Eric (DeCosta) thinks – we’ll make the most of it."

So where could those moves come from? One suggestion that has been proposed has been an edge rusher, where Melvin Ingram could be an impact addition.

Another could be at the running back spot - an area where Baltimore has struggled to stay healthy in recent seasons. And of course, adding more weapons for your recently-extended long-term quarterback is never a bad idea, so a receiver could also very well be on the menu.

Either way, with the “good enough” Ravens ready to take a jump back into the AFC's elite, they are going to be in the market. It just has to be the right move at the right time.
