Ravens QB Lamar Jackson: 'Magnificent 7' to Hall Of Fame Projection?

A true superstar of the NFL, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is part of arguably the greatest group of young QBs ever.
In this story:

There was a reason Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson wanted a big payday in his new contract.

With one NFL MVP Award under his belt already the Ravens' field- and locker-room leader has easily been one of the most electric players in the league, let alone one of the best quarterbacks. But in the world of football, Jackson is one of several top-shelf quarterbacks in this era of NFL history.

"Has there ever been a better crop of young passers in the league at the same time?" wrote NFL.com while identifying current-day superstars.

Along with Jackson, Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills), Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals), Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers), Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles), Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs), and Aaron Rodgers (New York Jets) make up today's top group of NFL quarterbacks according to the league's media site.

"With the exception of Aaron Rodgers, every quarterback here will enter the 2023 NFL season at age 27 or younger," NFL.com continued. "The Magnificent Seven have accumulated seven league MVP awards, three Super Bowl wins and five conference titles ... Everyone on this list could end up in the Hall of Fame one day."

While it's early to start crafting busts to enter Canton, Ohio's hall of greatest football players and influences in history for Jackson and most of the names on this list, it is truly remarkable to be witnessing this era of NFL quarterbacking.

As the Ravens move into this first season of Jackson's new deal, they'll look to their leader to continue keeping the team relevant and competitive.  Because of it, Baltimore will keep finding itself in the mix of preseason competitor discussions for years to come.
