Ravens John Harbaugh Reveals 'Two Fold Thought Process' After Clinching No. 1 Seed

The Baltimore Ravens obliterated the Miami Dolphins and in the process secured the No. 1 seed, with John Harbaugh revealing how the team will move forward over the next few weeks.

The Baltimore Ravens are fresh off a 56-19 win over the Miami Dolphins as they stole Mike McDaniel's team's soul, lunch money, and anything else you can think of.

The win now sees Super Bowl run through Baltimore in the AFC and it also brings up an interesting situation going forward with still one game left in the regular season.

Baltimore has to now juggle the next couple of weeks as the Pittsburgh Steelers game is now meaningless as the Ravens are locked into the No. 1 seed. But what did Ravens head coach John Harbaugh think of his team's demolition of Miami that earned them the No. 1 seed?

“Pleased with the victory very, pleased with our positioning at the end of the regular season which has one more game left,” Harbaugh said.

Pittsburgh needs to beat Baltimore and hope that other results in Week 18 go their way to clinch a playoff spot...but that might be a bit easier with help from the Ravens.

Baltimore has nothing to play for now, which means that several starters, including Lamar Jackson, could sit this one out.

That could give Pittsburgh the advantage it needs to try and punch its playoff ticket and Harbaugh admitted to a plan of attack that might hint at some players being rested.

“Moving into the playoffs we have kind of a two-fold thought process right now," Harbaugh said. "We have our priority which is the Steelers game and putting our best foot forward against our biggest rival. We expect it to be a very hard-fought game. So we've got to get our minds right for that and then planning for the next step in the playoffs. So those are the two things we're looking at and it'll be focused on the Steelers completely so from my perspective, the coaches are focused on the Steelers right now.”

The Ravens are in some serious form, having won 10 of their last 11 games while scoring 30+ points in eight of those games as Jackson has played at an MVP level.

Todd Monken has the offense rolling and is currently the second-ranked unit for points per game in the league (29.6) and Mike Macdonald's defense only gives up 16.4 points a game which ranks first in the league.

Baltimore has an offense and defense that is firing on all cylinders and with the path to the Super Bowl crystal clear, Harbaugh's two-fold plan will be to ensure that it gives his team the best chance to hoist the Lombardi trophy in February.
