Lamar Jackson has been crucial for the Baltimore Ravens all season long.

His ability to pass and run has turned him into a franchise quarterback, and he's arguably putting his best season to date for the Ravens as they sit at 11-3 atop the AFC.

In the first season running Todd Monken's offense, Jackson has unlocked new heights and he's one of the toughest quarterbacks to face in the NFL.

ESPN lists Jackson as the league's best "dual-threat" quarterback.

"Jackson has 741 rushing yards this season, including five TDs. And 372 of them have come on designed carries, at a 5.8 per-attempt clip," ESPN writes. "He's a sudden mover with elite body control and the straight-line juice to produce on the ground."

ESPN also praised Jackson's off-platform passing, giving him a slight edge over Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

"I nearly picked Mahomes here -- he can throw from any platform and make highlight-reel plays -- but it's Jackson this season," ESPN writes. "His second-reaction skills to extend plays and create outside of structure really pop."

Who Is More Valuable: Lamar or Brock?

Ultimately, if Jackson is the best quarterback at two unique skills compared to everyone else in the league, and if he's leading the team with the best record in the NFL, then perhaps he is deserving for his second NFL MVP award.

Jackson and the Ravens are set to face the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night. Kickoff on Christmas Day is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET.
