Will Lamar Jackson 'Win' Contract Dispute With Ravens?

As the Lamar Jackson saga carries on, Fox Sports chimed in with what they believe will happen.
In this story:

As we make our way through the early part of the offseason ahead of free agency opening, there has been no new deal between the Baltimore Ravens and superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson.

With rumors running rampant of the possibility that Jackson will play elsewhere in 2023 for the first time in his career, no one seems to have a grasp on what will happen.

However, the Ravens at the very least are likely to franchise tag Jackson ahead of the Mar. 7 deadline. After that, Fox Sports believes that Jackson will win his contract dispute with the Ravens.

They mention several points, from Jackson risking an injury should he play on the franchise tag to the Ravens inability thus far to provide Jackson with reliable weapons outside of tight end Mark Andrews.

Jackson's lack of an agent, however, is also cited as a potential negative PR hit against the star quarterback.

At the end of the day, as Fox Sports points out in its story, this boils down to whether or not the Ravens are willing to give Jackson such a massive contract. If they don't, after all, there is little doubt that another team will offer back up the Brinks truck for him.

Jackson will be playing NFL football come September, there is little doubt about it.

Whether it's with the Ravens, or another team that ponied up a potential trade package and substantial contract offer, is yet to be seen.
