Baltimore Ravens' Lamar Jackson Praised By C.J. Stroud
After the Baltimore Ravens dispatched the Houston Texans with ease in the AFC divisional round game, C.J. Stroud was sure to praise Lamar Jackson after the game.
Jackson and the Ravens showed out in front of the home crowd at M&T Bank Stadium, taking down Stroud and the Texans 34-10. The two teams were tied heading into halftime, but Baltimore ran laps around Houston in the second half to secure the win.
“Lamar’s a dog," Stroud said. "I've been a fan of his since high school, really since the highlight of him juking the dude back and putting his hands up. Since that moment, I was like 'Who is this dude.' It’s really an honor to share a field with a player like that. He’s a generational talent.
"He’s a hell of a quarterback, he can run, he can throw. He’s definitely an underrated thrower. He was tossing around in the wind today, you know. I'm really just a fan of his, got to talk to him after the game."
Jackson completed 16 of his 22 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Securing the second playoff win of his career, Jackson played about as well as a quarterback can play in the postseason.
On the other sideline, Stroud was playing in just the second playoff game of his career, with the first coming a week before when the Texans took down the Cleveland Browns 45-14. Against Baltimore's vaunted defense, he completed 19 of 33 passes for 175 yards but was unable to find the end zone.
