Baltimore Ravens' Lamar Jackson - Zay Flowers Had The 'Worst Celebration I've Ever Seen'
When Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers scored his first touchdown of the game against the Los Angeles Chargers, quarterback Lamar Jackson watched as the rookie tossed the ball behind him in celebrations as if it was a bouquet of flowers.
"First one was horrible," Jackson said. "I didn't know what was going on so, I was just standing there like alright, come along with it. Then when I seen what happened, I was like 'Yeah that was ass.' My fault, but I told him that, I'm like 'that was the worst celebration I've ever seen.' But he scored so I'm good."
Flowers could be seen explaining his celebration to his quarterback on the sideline, but Jackson wasn't buying it. Still, both players got what they ultimately wanted out of the game, which was a 20-10 win on the road over Los Angeles.
The rookie wide receiver had a great night against the Chargers, recording five receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown, while also taking one carry for a 37-yard touchdown.
It was not the first touchdown of his career, but it was the first one that he scored in America, as his first NFL touchdown came against the Tennessee Titans in London.
On the season, Flowers has now recorded 58 catches for 613 yards and two touchdowns as well as eight rushes for 56 yards and a touchdown. So far, he has lived up to every expectation that the Ravens had for him when they drafted him with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Boston College.
