Letdown Concerns? Ravens Have 'Same Mentality Every Week!' Ahead of Arizona Cardinals Clash

The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a beatdown of the Detroit Lions, but now facing a one-win team in the Arizona Cardinals, rookie Zay Flowers says the mentality stays the same.

The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a 38- 6 beatdown of the Detroit Lions and are now facing the 1-6 Arizona Cardinals. After such a commanding performance against an NFC contender, playing a team considered "less than " can result in an emotional letdown.

The Ravens have to be cognizant of this, as the Cardinals have proven to be rather plucky despite their poor record.

But Ravens receiver Zay Flowers says the team's mindset doesn't change.

“I feel like we got the same mentality every week,” Flowers said. “In this league, everybody can beat everybody, so we just got to prepare like we did the weeks before and try to go get a win.”

For Flowers, he has hit the ground running through the first seven games of the season.

He currently leads the Ravens in yards (442), receptions (39), and targets (54) and is coming off a four-catch, 75-yard game against the Lions.

Coming into the NFL as a first-round pick, the natural expectation is for that player to be a contributor from Day 1.

While that isn't always the case, it has been for Flowers, as he is an integral part of Todd Monken's offense.

As far as feeling the pressure to perform, Flowers didn't feel it.

"I don't feel any pressure," Flowers said. "I have so many guys around me who can make plays. I just go out and play, I've got multiple first-round picks around me – Bate, Odell, Nelly, Lamar. Mark (Andrews) wasn't a first-round pick, but he plays like one. I'm just playing football. I've been doing this my whole life."

With the Ravens' offense finally clicking against the Lions, many hope that Lamar Jackson and co. can produce the same type of performance against the Cardinals on Sunday.

With the Ravens having the same mentality regardless of the opponent and Flowers already coming into his own as an NFL receiver, the Baltimore offense that looked superb against Detroit could again have its way, with the Cardinals as the next item on the menu.
