Minter served as a Baltimore defensive assistant from 2017 to 2018, and assistant defensive backs coach in 2019 before being promoted to defensive backs coach in 2020.

Minter left the Ravens organization in 2021 to become the defensive coordinator and safeties coach at Vanderbilt for one season before moving on to Michigan under Harbaugh as the defensive coordinator for the Wolverines from 2022 to 2023.

Minter, 40, also served as one of Michigan's interim head coaches during Harbaugh's suspension.

The Little Rock, Arkansas native attended Mount St. Joseph where he was a wide receiver from 2022 to 2005 and began his coaching career at Notre Dame in 2006 as a defensive intern.

Under Minter, Michigan had college football's best defense last season allowing just 10.4 points per game while winning the College Football Playoff National Championship.
