'All Hands On Deck!' Baltimore Ravens Ready for Los Angeles Chargers
With a bye week on the horizon and key players working their way back from injuries, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has some decisions to make.
The Ravens could opt to be precautionary and wait until after the bye week to play players close to coming back, or with them only playing one game in 23 days due to a bye week after this Sunday, they could push those guys to play against a dangerous Los Angeles Chargers (4-6) team.
For Harbaugh, his approach is to get everyone they can to play, given the importance of the AFC contest.
"We're approaching it with an idea that it's a very important game," Harbaugh said. "Obviously, it's a huge game for us. We need to go out there and win the game. It's all hands on deck. We're going to try to get everybody to the game that we can, and we'll see how that goes."
Among the players who are close to returning are left tackle Ronnie Stanley and cornerback Marlon Humphrey. Both players missed Baltimore's game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 16 but are seemingly close to returning. Humphrey was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday with his calf injury. Stanley, who is recovering from a knee injury, was limited on Wednesday and a full participant in practice on Thursday.
How Ravens Will Look to Replace 'No. 1 Guy' Andrews
"I think everybody's doing a really good job of trying to get back," Harbaugh said. "I think this time of year, you're going to have those things that guys are going to be fighting through. You're never going to be certain about every single guy every single week, but we're generally a healthy football team. We'll just see where we're at on Sunday when we get there."
Baltimore will look to remain the No. 1 seed when they head to SoFi Stadium to face the Chargers on Sunday Night Football.
