Baltimore Ravens 'Need to Put More Points On the Board!' Says QB Lamar Jackson

A win is a win, but Lamar Jackson sees room for improvement from the Baltimore Ravens.

The Baltimore Ravens held on to knock off the Arizona Cardinals 31-24 on Sunday afternoon, but quarterback Lamar Jackson sees plenty of room for improvement.

Baltimore's offense struggled at times on Sunday, so even following a win, Jackson takes notice of the missed opportunities that were left on the field.

"A win is a win, but we need to put more points on the board," Jackson said postgame. "We were punting the ball a lot in this game, but it's the NFL. Sometimes, things might not go our way."

Jackson still threw for over 100 yards in Sunday's win, but that is a far cry from the numbers he put up the week prior against the Detroit Lions. He is right, however: in the NFL, games are played on a week-to-week basis, and each contest is different.

What specifically gave Baltimore trouble in the first half? Jackson revealed what he believed the problems were after the game.

"I believe the type of defense they were playing, some of the plays we had, we shouldn't be holding the ball long," Jackson said. "They were able to get after us a little, disrupt the backfield, that's all. But hats off to their defense. They fought."

Still, "a win is a win," and it moved the Ravens to 6-2 on the year with a critical stretch of the schedule looming. Baltimore will play host to the Seattle Seahawks next week before facing two division foes: the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals.

Kickoff next week between the Ravens and Seahawks is set for 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
