Ravens Host QB Anthony Richardson's Final Draft Visit
The Baltimore Ravens have battled quarterback question marks throughout the offseason as contract talks with Lamar Jackson grew stale.
But after signing former Pro Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr., the likelihood of Jackson returning under center seemingly skyrocketed.
And yet ... the Ravens are still doing work on the quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft class.
According to NFL Network, star Florida signal caller Anthony Richardson is set to visit Baltimore on Wednesday, wrapping up a busy week that features stops with the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
The 6-4, 244-pound Richardson wowed at the NFL Combine by running a 4.43 40-yard dash and breaking position records with a 40.5-inch vertical and 10'9" broad jump.
Richardson has likened himself to Baltimore's Jackson, noting the nickname "Cam Jackson" in reference to Lamar and Cam Newton, two league Most Valuable Players who starred with their explosiveness.
Still just 20 years old, Richardson's upside is sky-high, though he completed only 53.8 percent of his passes this past season, his first as a full-time starter.
Baltimore scheduled this visit with Richardson before signing Beckham, when things with Jackson were a bit less certain ... and while all isn't fully solved quite yet, the odds of a reunion seem much higher, reducing the need for the former Gators star.
Further, Richardson is firmly in the mix to be a top-five selection, which would cause the Ravens, who hold pick No. 22 overall, to give up a considerable amount of both present and future capital.
But still, Baltimore's doing its due diligence - as is nearly everybody else with even the slightest hint of potential quarterback dilemmas.
