Ravens' Odell Beckham Jr. Brings 'Contagious' Energy To Locker Room
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman had nothing but good things to say about how new teammate Odell Beckham Jr. is connecting with the locker room.
"I'll say he brought some swag and personality to the locker room, not that we didn't have it, but OBJ is OBJ," Bateman said. "He's gonna bring that energy with him, it's contagious. We all feed into it so he's been good for the locker room for sure."
Beckham Jr. had been linked to the Ravens since the year prior and signed with the team on April 9. He signed a one-year, $15 million guaranteed contract that can go up to $18 million with incentives.
He is a three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver with 7,367 career receiving yards and 57 career touchdowns. The last time Beckham Jr. took an NFL snap was for the Los Angeles Rams in their Super Bowl LVI victory. He tore his ACL in the game, causing him to miss the entire 2022 NFL season.
Bateman has been with Baltimore since he was drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He has yet to play a full season, appearing in 12 games during his rookie campaign and just six games last season.
Beckham Jr. and Bateman are part of the Ravens' plan to revitalize the offense around MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson. Baltimore also drafted wide receiver Zay Flowers with the No. 22 overall pick in this year's NFL Draft.
