Baltimore Ravens' Patrick Queen Wants To Be 'Feared'
Throughout the NFL's history, there have been certain teams, units and players that would strike fear into their opponents every time they played.
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Patrick Queen strives to be one of those players while leading a defensive unit that makes opposing offensive coordinators lose sleep.
"For one, this is a job and everything gets looked at, everything gets graded," Queen said. "I think at the end of the day, you just want to be great. You don't want to be lax, you don't want to go out there, play in their battlefield, you don't want anybody to say yeah they got one on you.
"You just want to be yourself, you want to be dominant, you want to be fierce, you want to be feared. You want to go into the playoffs knowing everybody has that mindset of 'damn, we've got to play Baltimore.' So I think when we're going into the last four games, we're looking to just dominate everybody. Everybody's on our list."
The Ravens' defense has been dominant this year, holding opponents to a paltry 16.8 points per game which is the second-best mark in the NFL behind the San Francisco 49ers at 15.8.
Queen has been a crucial part of that defensive unit, tallying 108 tackles, eight tackles for loss, four passes defended, 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble while starting all 13 games. He is currently on pace to smash his previous career-high in tackles which was 117 in 2022.
Baltimore's defense has had multiple standout players this year outside of Queen. Safety Kyle Hamilton and defensive tackle Justin Madubuike are both in the midst of career years and linebacker Roquan Smith is tied for third in the NFL in tackles with 136.
