Baltimore Ravens Preparing to Face ‘Top NFC Team’ Seattle Seahawks
The Baltimore Ravens (6-2) are playing host to the Seattle Seahawks (5-2) in a battle of two first place teams at the midway point of the season.
While Ravens coach John Harbaugh is preparing his team to take on one of the best the NFC has to offer he isn’t taking them lightly in the slightest.
“That’s exactly right, that nails it right there,” coach John Harbaugh said when asked about preparing for one of the toughest NFC opponents around. “They’re a top NFC team. They’re heading up the NFC West at this time because they’re playing really good football; complementary football. They’re built well, kind of like how they always are. They’re playing Seahawk football, I would say. It’s what you come to expect when you play the Seahawks, so we understand that.”
Seattle’s best win of the season came in Week 2 when quarterback Geno Smith threw for 328 yards and two touchdowns in a 37-31 win over the Detroit Lions (6-2).
Baltimore also faced and defeated the Lions, beating them by 32 points in Week 7 behind 357 yards passing and three touchdown passes from quarterback Lamar Jackson.
“When we’re doing what we’re supposed to do, the sky’s the limit for us,” Jackson said following the win. “We just showed a glimpse today, I believe.
According to oddsmakers the Ravens are supposed to beat the Seahawks this weekend by just under a touchdown.
If Jackson can lead Baltimore to the predicted result it’ll keep it’s grip on the AFC North Division lead, all the more important following the Pittsburgh Steelers’ win on Thursday Night Football over the Tennessee Titans.
Additionally, the Ravens will have vanquished yet another one of the NFC’s top contenders this season, and further cemented themselves as challengers to the AFC crown.
