Ravens Lamar Jackson Expected to 'Blow Past' Career Highs as Part of Best QB Division

If Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson lives up to NFL.com expectations then another MVP-caliber season could be in store.
In this story:

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson got his contract and now the team and face of the franchise can move forward with Super Bowl aspirations secured for at least one more season.

With Jackson's return securing the Ravens' position as a postseason threat moving forward, it also helped make the AFC North Division the NFL's top quarterback grouping in the league according to NFL.com.

"Just the second NFL player to win MVP in unanimous fashion, Jackson boasts a sparkling 45-16 career record and is the only quarterback in league history with a pair of 1,000-yard rushing seasons," says NFL.com. "But he's eager to sling the ball across the yard in 2023...With Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers joining the receiving corps -- and Todd Monken taking over as offensive coordinator -- I expect the 26-year-old to blow past his previous high for passing yards (3,127 in 2019) while maintaining the ability to break your will as an electric runner."

The site also notes that Jackson said, "I want to throw for 6,000 yards," at his press conference that followed the $260 million extension.

Not only is the AFC North leading the pack in terms of quarterback quality according to the league's media outlet, but the conference as a whole is also head-and-shoulders ahead of the NFC.

Joining the North Division, the AFC East and West round out the top three in rankings while the NFC North comes out as the top division on the other side, even with the departure of quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The NFL's two southern divisions pull up the rear of the league with the AFC South coming in seventh.
