Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith is the best linebacker in football according to PFF.  Smith has an 88.1 PFF grade on the season, the highest in the NFL. He has a 90.5 grade on his run defense, a 58.1 grade on his pass rush, and a 77.9 coverage grade. Sitting at No. 2 is New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis and at No. 3 is Minnesota Vikings linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. 

Smith has had a stellar start to the year, flying all over the field and commanding a strong Ravens defense. Through three games, he has tallied 33 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two tackles for loss and one pass defended.

Baltimore traded for Smith during the 2022 NFL season from the Chicago Bears, sending out linebacker A.J. Klein, a 2023 second-round pick and a 2023 fifth-round pick in return. With those picks, the Bears drafted Gervon Dexter and Noah Sewell.

For his career, Smith has registered 726 tackles, 56 tackles for loss, 20.0 sacks, 24 passes defended and eight interceptions. In 2022, he was named to his first Pro Bowl and was also named NFL First Team All-Pro.

His defensive partner, linebacker Patrick Queen, has also had a hot start to his season. Queen has recorded 31 tackles, one sack, one pass defended, and one tackle for loss. He is in his fourth season as Baltimore's linebacker after it drafted him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. 

The Ravens will be heading on the road in Week 4 to take on the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 1 at 1 p.m. ET.
