Ravens Trade and Free Agency Rumors: Tag Madubuike, Re-Sign OBJ and Agholor, Open Market RB?

What will Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta do this offseason?
In this story:

Eric DeCosta addressed the media about pending free agents and the upcoming open market and expressed thoughts on defensive tackle Justin Madubuike, the running back and wideout positions, and guard Kevin Zeitler

The Ravens revamped their wideout room for 2023 and it paid off. Bringing in Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor in free agency, and drafting Zay Flowers in the first round gave quarterback Lamar Jackson more options than before. But Beckham and Ahgholor are free agents, leaving the wide receiver position once again in question moving forward.

"I think Bate is going to have a great season," DeCosta said. "We got Zay. I feel really good about where we are."

DeCosta referenced the running back room and admitted they plan to hit the open market while deciding what to do with free agents J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards while Justice Hill is still under contract.

"I'm glad we have Justice on a two-year deal," DeCosta said. "He was really one of the unsung heroes of the team down the stretch. It was a challenge this year with J.K.'s injury and with Keaton. We'll access that market. We'll see where things lie with Gus and J.K."

Zeitler will become a free agent next month and DeCosta expressed that they'd like to keep him in Baltimore. "He's been a Pro Bowler. This is his first year, but in my mind, he's been a Pro Bowler."

Finally, DeCosta said they'll consider placing the franchise tag on Madubuike, "We'll have all those decisions made in the coming weeks."
