'We're Gonna Do It Differently!' Ravens Take New Approach to London Matchup with Titans

John Harbaugh hopes that fans can forget about the 44-17 loss to the Jaguars in London in 2017. And in the spirit of forgetting, they're changing things this season with regard to their London trip.

With the memory of a 44-7 defeat at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017 still fresh in their minds, coach John Harbaugh and the Baltimore Ravens are taking somewhat of a different approach to their game in London this year.

Harbaugh described that day recently on The Adam Jones Podcast as the “worst loss in the history of the Ravens or Baltimore sports, it was really a bad day.”

And now he hopes that fans can forget all about it, “We’ve got to try to wash that one away if he can,” he said. And in the spirit of forgetting, they're changing things this season with regard to their London trip.

“We’re gonna do it differently,” Harbaugh said. “We’re gonna go out earlier. Try to flip the script a little if we can.”

Baltimore will be in Pittsburgh taking on the division rival Steelers the week before their game in London against the Titans. And there's no rest afterward, as the team faces the Lions the week after at M&T Bank Stadium.

If all goes well for the Ravens early in the season, they could be off to a fast start. They face the new-look Texans and Colts in two of the first three games. Sandwiched in between, are the Cincinnati Bengals in an early divisional matchup.

With wins over the Texans and Colts, Baltimore could have an early lead in the division, and with a win over Cincinnati added to it, could be in control of the AFC North.

If the Ravens can grab a win over the Titans in England, it could be key to a later stretch - that includes the Steelers and Lions - where Baltimore finds itself counted as one of the best teams in the AFC.
