Harbaugh 'Taken For Granted'? Ravens Coach No. 4 In PFT's Rankings

Putting together perennial playoff contenders lands Baltimore Ravens' coach John Harbaugh high in PFT's coach power rankings.
In this story:

Any attempt to put together power rankings, or any subjective list for that matter, will vary wildly. Simply put, there are far too many factors that can go into said rankings to form a list that is 100 percent accurate.

Despite that, though, Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh is universally considered a top 10 coach in the NFL - with Pro Football Talk naming him the fourth best coach in the league entering the season, claiming he's "taken for granted."

The only three coaches ahead of him are three of the best to ever grace the sideline in NFL history, with New England's Bill Belichick at No. 3 overall, Pittsburgh's Mike Tomlin at No. 2 overall and Kansas City's Andy Reid taking the No. 1 overall slot.

Harbaugh was named the Ravens' coach in 2008 and proceeded to go 11-5 in his first season, losing to AFC North rival Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship game. In his 15 seasons at the helm, the Ravens have only had two losing seasons, going 5-11 in 20215 and 8-9 in 2021.

His consistent dominance in the regular season has helped him compile an astounding 147-95 record and helped Baltimore earn an impressive 10 playoff berths.

Of course, he is not just a regular-season coach. His success translates to the postseason, where he's gone 11-9 in 20 games - including a win in Super Bowl XLVII over the San Francisco 49ers.

One could make an argument that Harbaugh is a top-three coach in the NFL, because as we said these rankings are entirely subjective. And even though he landed at No. 4 overall, it is no slight to him - as he is undoubtedly among the best at what he does and certainly not taken for granted by Ravens' fans.
