The Baltimore Ravens are at training camp getting ready for a new season with massive expectations. A re-dedicated quarterback, a new offensive coordinator, and a re-tooled wide receivers room give fans and Ravens executives hope for a deep playoff run and even an AFC North title in 2023.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson - fresh off a new contract - arrived at camp and stepped onto the field at M&T Bank Stadium for the first time in 237 days with new vigor, as he discussed with NFL Network.

"I feel great to be back, especially around this crowd, a lot of energy around my guys that I missed so dearly," Jackson said. "It's a great feeling to be back, to be out there on that grass around my guys."

The Ravens enter camp with a new offensive coordinator in two-time defending College Football Playoff national champion and former Georgia Bulldog offensive brain, Todd Monken. Monken hopes to utilize Jackson's legs and arm equally in the new scheme he brings to Charm City, and Jackson knows there will be an adjustment period.

"It's going wonderful. I'm dialed in in the media room making notes, when I get home, I study a lot and study hard. It's just the terminology, getting that into my brain, and I feel like it's smooth sailing so far."

Jackson has been called a perfectionist by coach John Harbaugh, and Jackson says that's the goal.

"Everyone's not perfect and I'm trying to reach that goal ... to be perfect," Jackson said with a crooked smile on his face.

Running back J.K. Dobbins has the potential to be a huge part of the new Monken offense, but is missing from camp. But Jackson knows for the Ravens to be successful this season, Dobbins needs to be a part of the team.

"He means a lot to our offense. He's one of the guys that sparks the offense. If we're having a slow start sometimes, he gets the ball and makes the magic happen, so I can't wait for him to get back out there on the field with us."

If the Ravens are planning on winning the division and making a long playoff run, Dobbins will most likely need to be involved in the offense. Baltimore has done everything needed off the field in the offseason to make the team a force in the AFC, now it's up to the players to "make magic" on the field.
