Ravens TE Mark Andrews Not Active for Divisional Round Matchup With Texans
As the Ravens prepare for their matchup against the Texans at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, they'll do so without All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews. Andrews has missed time since injuring his ankle during a hip-drop tackle on Nov. 16 against the Bengals.
Andrews has been working hard to get back before the end of the playoffs, and the team speculated he might be ready for Saturday. But that's not the case, even though Andrews practiced every day this week and was labeled a full participant on Wednesday and Thursday.
Isaiah Likely, who has filled in for Andrews since the injury will once again get the start. Likely has led the team in receiving yards with 322, and touchdown catches with five since he took over for Andrews in Week 12.
“You see it game by game. [He was] getting better and better and making big-time plays,” Andrews said of Likely, via Ryan Mink of the team website. “That’s a credit to how hard he’s worked. It’s been awesome to see him do that. We’re thankful to have him.”
