The Baltimore Ravens host the Houston Texans on Sunday in the opening game of the new season for both teams. Houston is ushering in a new era with head coach DeMeco Ryans and starting quarterback C.J. Stroud.

Both teams went back and forth with defensive stops and offensive mistakes, including a Lamar Jackson red zone interception.

But late in the first quarter, assisted by a couple of Houston Texans penalties, Baltimore found itself deep in Texans territory and went to the ground game to score. Ravens running back Dobbins ran off right end for seven yards and a touchdown. The Justin Tucker extra point was good for a 7-0 Ravens lead. The scoring drive went 58 yards in eight plays and took 4:28 off the clock.

The Ravens have gone with a steady dose of Zay Flowers against the Houston defense early in the game, with three catches for 29 yards. Flowers has also been involved in the ground game with two carries for nine yards.

The Texans' defense has been causing Jackson fits all afternoon with pressure in the pocket. And the Ravens wideouts have been covered well. Jackson has carried the ball three times for 20 yards, all on scrambles out of the pocket.

Dobbins has five carries for 13 yards including the touchdown, and Justice Hill has added a carry.

Lamar Jackson has seen success through the air completing 6-of-7 passes for 52 yards and the one interception. He's also been sacked one time for seven yards.
