Baltimore Ravens linebacker Tyus Bowser could miss the beginning of the regular season due to an injury.

Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Tyus Bowser could be absent for the start of Baltimore's season due to a knee injury he's been dealing with all offseason.

"I'm a little more vague on that one," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said. "I'm hopeful that he'll get back here first game, second game, third game, somewhere in there. But we'll just have to see. It's with the doctors and Tyus."

This isn't the first time Bowser has missed time due to injury. He was unable to play in the first eight games of the 2022 NFL season because he was rehabbing a torn Achilles that he suffered in the last game of the 2021 season.

He has been in Baltimore since 2017 when he was drafted in the second round of the NFL Draft out of the University of Houston. He is currently the Ravens' active sack leader with 19.5.

On Aug. 18, Baltimore signed former No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney to a one-year, $2.5 million deal to bolster its linebacking core. Clowney could possibly fill in as the starting outside linebacker while Bowser is injured and provide much-needed depth when the two are healthy.

The Ravens' first three games of the season are Sept. 10 at the Houston Texans, Sept. 17 against the Cincinnati Bengals and Sept. 24 at the Indianapolis Colts. After a 10-7 tally last season, Baltimore is hoping to equal - or improve - that mark and possibly add a postseason victory or two to the register before it's said and done.
