Ravens Zay Flowers And Justice Hill Flash Again vs. Commanders

The Baltimore Ravens were in action against the Washington Commanders, with Zay Flowers and Justice Hill jumping off the screen in the first quarter.

The Baltimore Ravens' second preseason game against the Washington Commanders will likely be remembered for the game's opening drive.

With Baltimore and Josh Johnson getting the ball first, it was a Zay Flowers highlight reel as he and Justice Hill torched the Commanders' defense.

Hill was a menace on the ground as he picked up 25 yards on two carries, and Flowers showed his elite route running and quickness as he hauled in two passes for 27 yards and a touchdown run that will make Ravens fans giddy with excitement.

Flowers weaved his way through the Commanders' defense, making players miss as he made it into the endzone.

In Todd Monkens' offense, there are a host of electric players, namely Lamar Jackson and Odell Beckham Jr., but Flowers is showing he is as good as advertised.

While yes, it is only preseason, so we have to be careful about anointing a player already. Still, Flowers is showing everything Baltimore needed to see, and moving forward, there can be no doubt that he will be an integral part of Monken's offense.

Then there's running back Justice Hill.

With the Ravens having multiple players capable of being utilized as J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards headline the room, Hill showed against the Commanders that he shouldn't be forgotten about.

On the opening drive, Hill had two carries for 25 yards as his speed and burst were on show, while he also showed his ability as a pass-catcher, grabbing a 13-yard reception as well.

As the Ravens' offense looks to get more vertical under Monkens' watchful eye, having Hill and Flowers to complement the embarrassment of riches at Lamar Jackson's disposal will give opposing defenses nightmares.
