'Hungry' Baltimore Ravens Shine in Blowout Win Over Seattle Seahawks

The Baltimore Ravens got back to their high-scoring ways in Sunday's massive win.

Worried about the Baltimore Ravens offense? Well, it can't stay down for long.

The Ravens blew out the Seattle Seahawks 37-3 on Sunday afternoon, riding the wave of three rushing touchdowns and nearly 300 yards on the ground in the process. Quarterback Lamar Jackson put up 187 yards through the air and 60 yards on the ground, following only Keaton Mitchell in the rushing yardage category.

Baltimore also won last week, but it wasn't the prettiest of wins against the Arizona Cardinals. So, what propelled the Ravens to the win over Seattle? In the words of Lamar Jackson, it was hunger.

"We've got guys that are hungry on our team," Jackson said. "Young guys, vets and guys who just want to win. I said early this season, we've got something we're chasing, and it takes us playing Raven football each and every week."

"Hungry" may be the right word. Earlier this week, linebacker Roquan Smith predicted a rude awakening for the Seahawks when they traveled to Baltimore on Sunday.

“We’re some angry birds over this way, so we’re gonna definitely express that on Sunday,” Smith said on The Vault: A Daily Ravens Podcast. “We’re pissed off about how this last game played out. … We have to defend our turf by any means necessary.”

The Ravens are now 7-2 overall and appear to be one of the hottest teams in the AFC, winners of four straight. The next two weeks, however, will put that hunger to the test as division foes Cleveland and Cincinnati are scheduled to take on Baltimore.

Kickoff next week against the Browns is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET, on FOX.
