How High? Ravens Near Top In ‘Future’ NFL Power Rankings

Stability is the name of the game for the Baltimore Ravens in the future NFL Power Rankings.

Players have begun to report for fall training camps which means it is the perfect time to see how all 32 teams stack up to each other for the next three seasons - 2023 through 2025.

ESPN released NFL Future Power Rankings on Wednesday and the Baltimore Ravens were graded as the fourth-best franchise in the league with only the Cincinnati Bengals (No. 3), Kansas City Chiefs (No. 2), and Philadelphia Eagles (No. 1) in better positions for success.

The Ravens have had to deal with setbacks in recent years due to injuries, but there is no denying that Baltimore is one of the most well-run franchises in the NFL. Stability in both the front office and coaching staff and have helped elevate the Ravens to becoming one of the best teams in the AFC. Having a 26-year-old franchise quarterback who is one of the most polarizing players in the league also helps out.

ESPN cites that a new offensive coordinator and revamped receiver room should help boost Baltimore's passing game and take Lamar Jackson's game to new heights.

"With the veteran addition of Odell Beckham Jr. and the drafting of Zay Flowers in the first round, I'm in a much better place on the wide receiver talent. Bringing in new offensive coordinator Todd Monken should take the passing game -- and specifically play-action out of 12 personnel -- to levels it hasn't achieved to this point, but it is still an unknown." -- ESPN's Louis Riddick

If Jackson and his new receivers can stay healthy, Baltimore's offense could end up becoming one of the best units in the NFL.

The Ravens have set themselves up for success for the foreseeable future thanks to strategic decision-making from their front office and coaching staff. Baltimore has a knack for keeping its cornerstone players with contract extensions that do not break the bank, allowing for necessary roster moves to keep the team in playoff contention year after year.
