Lamar Jackson: Baltimore Ravens Offense 'Has to Find a Way to Execute' in Red Zone
From a scoring perspective, it was Justin Tucker's day in London for the Baltimore Ravens.
Baltimore managed to secure a 24-16 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, thanks in large part to six field goals from Tucker's leg. The Ravens did see one touchdown pass from Lamar Jackson to Zay Flowers, but outside of that score, the offense struggled in terms of finding the end zone.
On NFL Network following the Ravens' win, Lamar Jackson detailed what went right and wrong for his unit on Sunday.
"Hats off to the Tennessee defense," Jackson said. "They were playing great. The D-line was doing their job. A lot of push. We've just got to find a way to execute and get in the end zone, though."
Tucker's performance in the kicking game would not have been possible without some stout play from the Ravens defense. Baltimore held the Titans to 233 total yards on Sunday, assisted, perhaps, by an early exit from quarterback Ryan Tannehill due to injury.
"[The defense was] very helpful," Jackson said. "Those guys stopping them from scoring is helping us a lot. We're obviously not getting in the end zone, but we knew we were giving Tucker a chance to kick field goals. Hopefully, we start punching more touchdowns in, but I'm happy we got the victory."
It will be a quick turnaround for the Ravens who opted to not have a bye week after the game in London. Baltimore returns home to host the Detroit Lions next week in a 1 p.m. ET kickoff on FOX.
