Saints Rookie Minicamp Takeaways | 3 Standouts From Saints Rookie Minicamp

Bryan Bresee

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: "It's been really exciting getting out here. You know, with new coaches, new teammates, learning a new scheme and just working with everybody, it's just been fun."

GETTING ON THE FIELD: "I definitely pride myself on being able to learn football relatively easily. So, it's just been good for me. Once I get out there, if I do make a mistake, another thing is not making the same mistake is something that I really focus on."

ON HEALTH: "I feel great. Yeah, I feel great."

Isaiah Foskey

WHAT'S UNIQUE ABOUT NEW ORLEANS THAT FITS WHAT HE DOES: "I like the whole defensive style, like the D-Line style as well. My position you played 3-tech, 4i, 5, 9, you basically play everywhere. It pretty much sets you up for any matchup that they have you going against. It's just pick your right position."

ROOM FOR GROWTH: "I feel like there's a lot of room for growth. Just after these two days, a lot of technique stuff I can improve on to make myself a lot better player. Like they (the Notre Dame coaches) said, I'm just scratching the surface right now."

EXCITED TO LEARN FROM: "You already know the answer. Cam Jordan. Cam Jordan, yeah that's the guy I want to pretty much be underneath him and just learn everything from him."

Kendre Miller

LEARNING THINGS WHILE TAKING IT EASY: "For me, I've just been doing my technique with steps and different things while the other running backs are going trying to get the mechanics down of the different footwork from how it was from college to now. It's nothing too hard, but I'm just kind of getting it down."

ON HEALTH: "I feel great. You know, I feel great. But the doctors, they kind of got to tone it down and be like, 'You're not ready for that yet.', but that's just the competitiveness in me."

TARGETED RETURN: "Expected to be ready by training camp."

STUDYING ALVIN KAMARA: "How they use him is kind of unique, and watching film every day, we watch a bunch of clips of him. How they use him in the passing game is pretty cool and I feel like I could step in and pretty much do the same thing."

Nick Saldiveri

LOOKING FORWARD TO LEARNING FROM: "Ryan (Ramczyk) and Erik (McCoy). They're two guys who are serious vets who've played a lot of ball. And I'm very, very appreciative to be able to come into a room like that where they have all that experience and they can teach me so much and I'm really looking forward to it."

PICKING THINGS UP EARLY: "It's been really good. Coach Maronne does a really good job of making things easy and adjustable for players. I feel like I'm doing something completely different than I've done in college and I've done a solid job of being able to pick things up on the fly and kind of just put things together and piece things together in the offense and understand what my role is. We're just taking it one day at a time, and it's obviously only Day 2, but it's going pretty good."

Jake Haener

THE TRANSITION: "I think it's just a whole different scheme. A lot of different things, a lot of different moving pieces. I think the details need to be that much more taken care of. So, I'm going to study, take it one day at a time, and continue to get better."

LEARNINGS FROM PAST FEW DAYS: "I think the pro game is a lot more detailed. I need to be that much better and that much on top of what I'm doing. I think I'll continue to get that with that with time and just know it's a learning curve. Just be patient and get one percent better every day."

WHAT TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH: "I think the install's been pretty heavy. They're putting a lot on our plate. Obviously, not putting in the kills, the checks in. I just think I'm trying to get used to the pro game, the verbiage, the terminology, how different it is from what I was doing at Fresno State. I know that this level does not translate over from the college level. So, just trying to get better, trying to learn, grow, and like I said just get better every day."

Jordan Howden

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: "First off, it's a great start. To start my pro career and everything like that, and come in here and try to adjust to the weather and get around the coaches and being around new people that I've never seen before, but pretty cool experience so far. Just having fun and just enjoying how the team operates and things of that sort."

MEETINGS AND LEARNING: "The learning aspect, it is a lot. They throw a lot of stuff at you, but they know you're going to make mistakes. It's just how you respond and things of that sort. It's just trying to get better than I did yesterday and I think that's the biggest thing moving forward."

LEARNING FUNDAMENTALS AND TECHNIQUE: "Just knowing being in the right spot and getting in the right area and how to make plays because then once I know where to go I can be able to have fun and do what I do."

A.T. Perry

FIRST DAYS AS A PROFESSIONAL: "Just soaking it in. Just come in here by day and just work, just study the playbook and make know what I'm supposed to do on the field and show the coaches I can do. I worked so hard for this opportunity so I'm going to make the most of it."

WHAT HE HOPES TO SHOW COACHES: "I'm a playmaker. I'm a baller. I'm here for a reason. I feel like God brought me here for a reason, so I'm happy with it. I'm excited to be here and show everybody what I can do."

ON BEING A RED ZONE THREAT AT WAKE FOREST: "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Something like that. That's the kind of stuff my old quarterback at Wake, the type of stuff we worked on. You know, just fighting my game and it's second nature to me."
