Metairie, LA — Eno Benjamin is believed to have a ruptured Achilles, according to head coach Dennis Allen.  The injury occurred during the early portion of Saturday's Saints training camp practice, which was non-contact during drills.  Benjamin had to take a cart ride off the field.

He'll have further tests to confirm, but it looks like the team will be without him for the year.  New Orleans had a couple injuries pile up on Saturday, as they have been without a few players and had a few more occur during practice.

Benjamin was entering his second year with the team after being picked up on waivers late last year. He did not participate in OTAs and minicamp, but has been out on the field for training camp.  Alvin Kamara will be suspended for the first three games of the season, and that will open the door for Jamaal Williams and Kendre Miller to shoulder most of the load.  Benjamin could have been a factor here, but now eyes will turn a bit more to Kirk Merritt for that role.
