Falcons Head Coach Smith Yells At Saints Head Coach Allen At Midfield Following The Loss

The Atlanta Falcons head coach took exception to the late touchdown by the New Orleans Saints.

After the New Orleans Saints defeated the Atlanta Falcons 48-17, head coach Arthur Smith expressed his frustration with Jamaal Williams' final touchdown, which he believed was unnecessary.

Smith yelled at Allen as the two approached one another at midfield. Next, Smith verbally accosted Allen for the final touchdown, which was scored on a 1-yard plunge by Williams with 3 seconds on the clock.

CBS Sports analyst Tiki Barber said, "This is football man. You have the right to do whatever the hell you want."

New Orleans improved with a 9-8 record, but the Falcons fell to 7-10. The humiliating loss will add more fire to the Saints-Falcons NFC South rivalry. The Saints can make the playoffs if the Bears and Cardinals win their late games.
