Saints Playoff Chances In Hands Of Week 18 Afternoon Games

After their win over the Falcons, the Saints must have both the Cardinals and Bears win to sneak into the postseason as a Wild Card.
In this story:

With the Saints taking care of their own business against the Falcons, now everything will shift to the afternoon slate of games. The Bucs ended up winning the NFC South after shutting out the Panthers 9-0, so they'll host a playoff game next weekend. For New Orleans, they're going to have to put their hopes and dreams in the Cardinals and Bears. That's the only way for Dennis Allen's team to reach the postseason.

New Orleans will finish with a winning record in 2023, and they'll get a higher draft pick if they do miss the playoffs. They'll also get a second-place schedule for the NFC West, AFC North and NFC North games on the docket for next season. That means the Saints could play up in Lambeau or Minneapolis again or have an outside shot to play in Chicago.

Dennis Allen Believed To Be Safe Regardless Of Week 18 Outcome For Saints

The Saints put on a great display against the Falcons to close out their season, but it might just end up being all for naut. We've seen what this team was supposed to look like all season in the past two games, which is quite frustrating when it boils down to it. This is why you have to win those games earlier in the seasonl.
