NEW ORLEANS -- The NFL has finally released its official draft order for all seven rounds. Shortly after revealing this year's compensatory selections, of which the New Orleans Saints received three fifth-round picks, the league put out a press release with all 257 selections in this year's NFL draft.

Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans takes the stage during a news conference at Ford Field on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023 to mark 150 days until the 2024 NFL draft in Detroit.

The Saints will head into this year's selection process with just two top-100 selections, both in the top-50. They will then have a whopping seven day three selections that all fall within the fifth and seventh rounds.

The team will not have any third or fourth round selections to start, but obviously moves can be made if they want to change that.

New Orleans' original third round selection was included in the trade that sent former head coach Sean Payton to the Denver Broncos in return for a 2023 first-round selection and this year's second-round pick. The trade effectively advanced their 2024 third to a second.

Meanwhile their original fourth-round pick was sent to the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2023 draft. It was included in the trade that helped the Saints move up in last year's draft to select Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener.

The team will have four different fifth-round selections this season thanks to three compensatory picks that were awarded following the 2023 departures of linebacker Kaden Elliss, defensive end Marcus Davenport and defensive tackle David Onyemata. That run of four selections between picks 149 and 174 overall could be used to help the team mobilize and move about.

New Orleans, of course, could use future picks from the upcoming 2025 draft in order to move about as well.

Here are the official draft picks the Saints currently hold, following the release of the awarded compensatory selections

  • Round 1, Pick 14
  • Round 2, Pick 45 (from Denver)
  • Round 5, Pick 149
  • Round 5, Pick 167 (compensatory pick)
  • Round 5, Pick 169 (compensatory pick)
  • Round 5, Pick 174 (compensatory pick)
  • Round 6, Pick 189
  • Round 6, Pick 198 (from Philadelphia)
  • Round 7, Pick 239 (from Denver)

Pick 198 overall comes to New Orleans via the Philadelphia Eagles. This pick was sent to New Orleans as a part of the 2022 trade of safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Pick 239 overall comes to the Saints via the Broncos following last year's trade of kicker Wil Lutz
