BREAKING: Saints Place Michael Thomas On Injured Reserve
The Saints are placing wide receiver Michael Thomas on injured reserve, a source confirmed to Saints News Network. The move was first reported by NewOrleans.Football's Brooke Kirchhofer.
Thomas will be out for a minimum of four games, being eligible to return after the Giants home game on Dec. 17. He'll miss the team's matchups against the Falcons, Lions, Panthers, and Giants. He is expected to return this season.
The move hardly comes as a shock for New Orleans, as Dennis Allen said that his particular injury was going to force him to miss some time. The exact injury is still unknown at this point, but it is related to his knee and occurred on the first offensive play against the Vikings in Week 10. The team said they were looking at second opinions following the game, but this is where things were seemingly headed.
BREAKING: Michael Thomas, Marshon Lattimore Injury Updates
New Orleans will have to get by without Thomas as best as possible, and it's certainly a bummer for someone who has worked so hard to get back to this point.
The Saints are adding veteran Cameron Dantzler to their active roster as a corresponding move, according to a source, and the Marquez Callaway to the practice squad transaction will be official on Tuesday's NFL Transaction Report.
