Saints Not Contemplating Quarterback Change

Dennis Allen was asked about evaluating a potential QB change following Jameis Winston's performance, but the job is Derek Carr's.
In this story:

MINNEAPOLIS -- Saints quarterback Derek Carr took a very hard hit in Sunday's loss to the Vikings, which forced him out of the game and eventually led to him leaving on a cart. Jameis Winston came in as relief for him and finished 13/25 for 122 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 picks. The New Orleans offense was able to move the ball fairly well with Winston in, and it was a big reason why they were able to put up points to make the game interesting.

Carr Suffers Concussion and Right Shoulder Injury

Carr is in the concussion protocol right now, and we have no other official details. However, we did spot him in the locker room following the game and was talking to Jameis Winston. In addition to the concussion, Carr suffered a right shoulder injury. Needless to say, the Saints bye week comes at a perfect time.

Fans have been wondering and questioning what the quarterback situation will be like. In short, there is nothing there, especially after Dennis Allen addressed the question in his postgame press conference when asked. Allen was asked if Winston's performance would make him evaluate the starter position after the bye week.

"We'll see where Derek's (Carr) at. I know we're not in a competition there. I thought Jameis (Winston) did some good things. But you know, Derek Carr is our starting quarterback."

New Orleans will get a chance to refocus and decompress with their time off and come back to hopefully figure some things out when they take on Atlanta in a big NFC South matchup for Week 12.
