Saints Make Four Saturday Transactions

New Orleans signs a fullback to the active roster while placing a rookie offensive lineman on injured reserve, and has two elevations for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
In this story:

The Saints made several transactions on Saturday prior to their Week 14 matchup against the Panthers. Fullback Adam Prentice has been signed to the 53-man roster, while rookie offensive lineman Nick Saldiveri goes on injured reserve. Standard practice elevations include Marquez Callaway and Jack Heflin for the game.

Saldiveri has been dealing with a shoulder injury and was questionable going into Sunday. Heflin was a logical choice to replace Malcolm Roach after he went on injured reserve with a knee injury. Heflin will make his first regular season appearance with the team.

As part of the personnel moves made, Derek Carr no longer has a game status designation. He was originally listed as questionable, but has been trending in the right direction all week and cleared the concussion protocol on Friday. He was also dealing with a shoulder and rib injury. He'll get the start in a must-win NFC South game for New Orleans.
