Saints Wednesday Injury Report | Week 17
It could not be more obvious that this week's New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers game is a must-win moment for the Saints. If they lose, they are out of playoff contention. If they win, they will still need help but at least keep themselves alive for what was the minimum expectation coming into the year; a postseason appearance. Coming out their Thursday Night Football loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Saints head coach Dennis Allen said the team came out "relatively clean" injury-wise and this week's first injury report backs that up.
Week 17 - Saints Wednesday Injury Report
- DID NOT PRACTICE: Jordan Howden (NIR-illness), Lonnie Johnson (knee), Ryan Ramczyk (knee)
- LIMITED: Isaiah Foskey (quadriceps), Jimmy Graham (rest), Cam Jordan (ankle), Erik McCoy (foot), Chris Olave (ankle), Kendre Miller (ankle), Payton Turner (toe)
The Saints look like they will be a healthy as expected going into Week 17. Barring any severe situation, it seems likely Howden could work his way back in time for the game. With fellow safeties Johnson and Marcus Maye both unlikely to appear this week, that would be huge for the New Orleans defense. Also worth watching is the return of Foskey to practice after missing several weeks with his quadriceps injury.
Saints Task Simple, But Not Easy
Buccaneers Wednesday Injury Report
- DID NOT PRACTICE: Shaq Barrett (groin), Carlton Davis (concussion), Ko Kieft (shoulder)
- FULL: Rakim Jarrett (quadriceps), Mike Greene (calf)
