The Seattle Seahawks closed the preseason with a narrow loss on the road to the Green Bay Packers.

The Seattle Seahawks wrapped up the preseason with a 19-15 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Saturday afternoon at Lambeau Field.

There were two different game plans on display, as Seattle opted not to play its starters while Green Bay let starting quarterback Jordan Love lead the offense for three drives, two of which ended in scores, resulting in a 12-7 halftime lead for the home team.

But the Seahawks, led by backup signal caller Drew Lock, came storming back. Lock went eight of nine for 50 yards in the first half, headlined by an 18-yard touchdown pass to undrafted rookie receiver Jake Bobo, but missed his first six attempts out of the locker room.

Lock, entering his fifth professional season, found his stride on his last possession, leading a 10-play, 89-yard drive featuring a pair of 30-plus-yard completions to receiver Easop Winston Jr. and was capped off by a SaRodorick Thompson Jr. one-yard touchdown run and successful two-point conversion try that gave Seattle a 15-12 lead halfway through the fourth quarter.

The Packers responded, with third-string quarterback Alex McGough taking the offense down the field on a nine-play, 75-yard series that ended with a one-yard touchdown run from Nate McCrary.

Given two minutes and all three timeouts to overcome a 19-15 deficit, the Seahawks turned to their own third-string signal caller, rookie Holton Ahlers, and saw an impressive drive fall just short following an interception in the endzone by defensive back Benny Sapp III.

The Seahawks were led on the ground by running back DeeJay Dallas, who had four carries for 43 yards. Winston Jr. was the leading receiver with three catches for 74 yards.

Defensively, linebacker Jon Rhattigan continued his productive preseason by leading the team in tackles with 12, adding one tackle for loss. Rookie sixth-round safety Jerrick Reed II finished with six tackles and two for loss, while cornerback Michael Jackson made seven tackles and defended two passes.

The next time the Seahawks hit the field will be in Week 1 of the regular season, with Seattle set to host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Sept. 10, at 1:25 p.m. PST.
